Workshops are one full day and will cover everything you need to know about newborn photography, whether you are in your first year of business or looking to enhance your existing skills. I will teach you everything from session workflow, styling, setting up your studio, prepping clients before they arrive, newborn posing on the beanbag and in props, composition and finding the best angles to shoot at, lighting, soothing techniques for a fussy baby and much much more. I will show you how to use studio lighting and where to place it to achieve perfect skin tones and shadows in and out of the camera.
The workshop starts early in the morning at 9am while we get to know each other over coffee and muffins with the first baby arriving at 9:45am. I will have 2 different models come into the studio so we can really focus on every aspect of a newborn session. Towards the end of the day we will spend an hour covering post processing. After we are done learning I will take you all out for a relaxing dinner and drinks where we will reflect back on the day and have a Q&A session. We will then say our goodbyes around 7:30pm (unless we are having waaaaaaayyyy too much fun at dinner). After the workshop you will be added to a private Facebook group along with other students where you will receive continued support, critique, advice etc from me and have access to posing & editing videos. Limited to a total of 8 students.
Camera DSLR which you MUST know how to operate in full manual
